Pioneering robotics education for young minds through innovative technology and hands-on learning experiences.
Vortex Robotics began in 2015 as a team of engineering students competing in the MATE ROV competition, earning 3rd place internationally in California. Inspired by seeing youth teams from around the world, we expanded to teach robotics to kids and undergraduates.
By 2018, our Titans team achieved 1st place internationally in Seattle, and since 2021, Vortex has grown into a leading robotics academy empowering students to learn, build, and compete globally.

From a local idea to global impact — our journey continues
Vortex was founded by undergraduate engineers who built their first underwater robot (ROV), marking the start of their learning journey despite not ranking high locally.
The team enhanced their ROV design and achieved 6th place locally, showing clear technical progress.
Vortex earned 1st place locally and 3rd internationally, sponsored by OXYDIVE, and developed an ROV for IMCA trainers.
Launched the first undergraduate training program, achieving 1st place both locally and internationally.
Formed the Kick Off team, ranked 2nd locally and 16th internationally, and trained three UAE teams, one of them reached the international stage.
Expanded to five Egyptian teams, one Jordanian team, and fourteen UAE teams, also serving as a UAE regional judges before lockdown.
Focused on stabilizing operations and preparing for a strong post-pandemic return.
Rebuilt both undergraduate and kids teams, ranking 2nd locally (undergraduates) and 1st locally (kids), qualifying for the USA finals but unable to travel due to logistics.
Transitioned into a structured academy, launched three age categories, expanded into ground robotics, and achieved 3rd place internationally (Explorer) and 1st place (Rangers).
Refined the curriculum, developed new educational robots, and launched internal competitions to boost creativity.
Completed the full learning cycle for all age groups, built 7 educational robots, and held 5 local and 3 internal competitions, cementing Vortex's leadership in robotics education.
Vortex Robotics Academy
Over 2,500 students have been trained through Vortex programs, many of whom joined top international universities.
Vortex graduates are equipped to work as skilled engineers in both local and global industries.
The academy has developed 19 original robotics products for education and competition.
